DIOR has pulled its latest advertisement for its fragrance for men ‘Sauvage’, featuring the one and only Johnny Depp, after an assault of verbal attacks across platforms that lay down the accusations of cultural appropriation and racism.

The French luxury brand came under fire for promoting its men’s fragrance Sauvage, when it dropped a thought provoking taste of what’s too come on social media, last week.

The tweet, read, “An authentic journey deep into the Native American soul in a sacred, founding and secular territory”.

Is Johnny Depp aware of the deep sh** this video released showing him rocking up from nowhere—just got out of a helicopter look.. as he walks through the wilderness, and so many rocks too blast a tune on a guitar too a tribal male dropping a native dance.

Let us not forget that Dior is a French Fashion House — translation of the word Sauvage in this case is how it has been used to visually describe a scent a perfume for a man.. Is this a disrespectful assault on the culture, the tribes of peoples and their behaviour.??. Has the creative marketing teams of luxury fashion houses COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS —> question: Did nobody even ask or try to gain understanding of the possible implications that an avoidable error could have prevented so much BS and unarmed the backlash from the people who are culturally aware.. What on the rocks were they trying to achieve?? Attention or more likes —> it is stereotypical imagery and culture appropriation of the Natives of Americas.. Let us not exaggerate the word — okay let’s take it as far as the warriors on the platforms are by saying that the product name “Sauvage” sounds very similar to the word “savage” but wait minute…. the latter is in English not French.
