Story goes….
She started her journey into fashion by selling clothes to her friends, which clearly became a success by the increase in demand and word of mouth (sound familiar~I do this now but from the “Worn Only Once+” perspective) she wanted to bring her creative energy to everyone.

I can only guess that is what ignited the flame from within her to ask a bank for a loan of a £100. It’s how it all started for Karen Millen and not surprised by her presence in the fashion industry was truly magnificent because she gave us great tailoring, fabrics, styles and at affordable prices.

We could all afford an outfit from Millen whether it be a killer trouser or skirt suit for the office, or a dress for a night out bar wiggles (not crawls can’t stand that word) even a soirée. And of course weddings were donned with women in Millen dresses and her footwear Collections are truly stunning. What always attracted me was the prices I would say her garments are on the cusp of high end designer but so affordable — I mean I would eat noodles that month for an outfit from Millen. For the record I feel no shame in saying that I would literally take noodles to another level (giggles).

Without a doubt 2020 has hit the high street with a savage blow and the suffering has been painful to witness. We have all witnessed too many brands and Fashion Houses fall victim during these unprecedented times, and survival seems to only fit the Primarks of the industry for they have no online presence and clearly that works for them for now.

the Buyer ~ Boohoo
However, with Karen Millen surviving it has clearly been a strain even though the brand has not directly put that out and maybe they won’t. It is totally different from the voiced opinion of KM ~ she has not held back on her own feelings of the onslaught from online fast fashion brands takeover. Which she says is distasteful (take a bow) and vile, and I could not agree with her more. What is questionable is why sell your creation to a fast fashion house? Contradicting or Clever? Leave me your thoughts as a comment I’d be intrigued to know how you yes you reading my micro~blog feels about this move? I think her financial advisor made the call and the highest offer was the leader by the looks of it—only my opinion.
⚜️
I personally feel that the levels of wrongness committed by fast fashion brands is conveniently brushed aside. The whole fast fashion vibe is so overrated and creates more harm than good. This is something that I have been highlighting for sometime and yes I shall bring an update micro-blog blast in the current situation, the noise surrounding fast fashion brands. For now the reigns have been sold and Karen Millen says goodbye to her brand and I can only imagine she must feel shi**ie about it.. surely!!
